SOUTHFIELD, Michigan, February 19, 2019 – The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) today announces the Chinese rollout of the highly anticipated new AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook and training.
The new AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook and related training is scheduled for release in Q2 2019. It harmonizes AIAG and VDA FMEA methodologies, aligning OEM requirements, including new severity, occurrence and detection criteria within the ranking tables. It also includes a seventh step for communicating actions taken to reduce risks. The new AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook is a critical update for the industry.
AIAG’s training courses for the new AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook will be provided by Plexus International, a certified global provider for AIAG quality products and services and will be offered to the industry after the official launch of the publication. Any training offered prior to the actual publication date may be quite inaccurate as it is based on the first draft version of the document.
