Volunteering & Participation

Influence the next generation of industry standards and best practices: Participate in AIAG volunteer groups.

AIAG is only as strong as its industry volunteers. Member companies have the opportunity to have their voices heard when the next generation of industry standards, guidelines, and processes are debated and developed. You'll work side by side with your customers and competitors, OEMs and suppliers, to make the entire industry run as efficiently as possible.

Let your voice be heard.

Many of the standards and guidelines your company uses every day are the product of AIAG project teams and work groups. Hundreds of industry experts (people just like you) volunteer to tackle challenges in Quality, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Collaborative Engineering, Electronic Commerce, and Corporate Responsibility every day.

Participating in even just one work group gives your company:

  • A chance to participate on equal footing with customers, suppliers and competitors.
  • Influence the content of AIAG guidelines, standards, and documents that affect the way you do business.
  • A voice in eliminating redundant systems and processes.
  • A direct pipeline to national and international standards-setting organizations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, China, Japan, Brazil, Australia, India, and South Korea, among others.
  • Networking opportunities with industry peers.

Yes, your company is needed. Yes, there is a place for you. Volunteering is open to all AIAG member companies, regardless of size and location. Any employee or contract employee of an AIAG member company can attend a volunteer group meeting.
