Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee

Advance initiatives that address social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

The Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee guides all AIAG corporate responsibility initiatives. This committee proactively identifies and prioritizes corporate responsibility issues, needs, and trends. It forms volunteer groups focused on these topics, sets annual goals and metrics that are monitored quarterly, and engages with other peer organizations to align activities, solutions, and objectives.


The Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee is propelled by AIAG’s vision of automotive industry leadership on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. It promotes and provides direction with respect to the ESG Core Values defined in the Automotive Guiding Principles.


Focus Areas


  • Uniting the industry to address human rights issues, including forced labor

  • Leading on environmental, social and governance (ESG) 

  • Advancing chemical management practices

  • Empowering responsible materials sourcing

  • Driving greater environmental sustainability

  • Fostering human health and safety


Facilitated by AIAG and supported by work group members and subject matter experts, this committee comprises volunteers from AIAG member companies representing a range of OEMs and suppliers.
